I mean take a look at Watrous’ roster. Andrew Johnston, George King, Austin Lamotte all listed as non imports ? Other than Johnston I don’t know those names but a quick look on hockey db seems to be they should be imports. Not sure on Leedahl and Thomas, hearing Thomas rents in Wynyard as he works from home. its nice to see all these young talented hockey players leave the city life behind for lovely small towns and acerages!! What a nice bonus for the league. I'm sure they all don't get paid to play either now that they are playing for their hometowns!

thats the thing, can't just go off of Hockey DB or elite prospects... that just lists where they were born. you can be born in saskatoon but grew up around saskatoon in a smaller community, so can get pulled in as a local. After all the discussion about elites/non-elites at the fall meeting i'm sure everyone has their ducks in a row.

Lamotte has less than 80 Junior A games, king and Johnston count as locals from Clavet. Solid finds for Watrous.

Didn't know Grasswood fell under the Clavet population.

If Parker Thomas “rents” a place in Wynyard while he “works from home” I’d say that’s bending the rules big time. Anyone can rent a house, but where does he live?
In my opinion teams will continue to push what is considered local and SHA or the leagues will have to start putting in concrete rules about this. Especially with more and more people being able to “work from home” these days.

Johnston is Dundurn not Clavet. If you say so... Johnston has never lived in Saskatoon. He grew up in rm of dundurn. Parker Thomas is living in Saskatoon, but I doubt anyone will waste their time arguing it if you want to cheat that bad. Wonder if the monarch’s told him no more documenting bus rides. No Idea who Lamotte and king are, but I doubt you cheat for mediocre players. Leedahl wouldn’t surprise me if he’s living out there working at the dealership with Ediger running the team.

Its your closest centre.

You punch in the address on google and he’s quite a bit closer to Dundurn than Saskatoon. Leedahl is an EMT working at BHP living in Leroy. Parker Thomas lives in Saskatoon…

I understand that rules are in place and I agree that it's almost impossible to prove. I guess teams will have to see which van he hops out of when he gets to the rink. This is exactly what I was talking about when I said teams are going to hurt themselves by bending the rules. Eventually the truth comes out. I'm also sure that six teams in this league will all be questioning the living situation of Parker Thomas.
