Curious, if there was to be a weekend long tournament with the top 4-8 SR Champion Teams from across the province would that entice teams to go compete? Depending if provincials are a no go this year. Would be thee perfect year to give this format a try... in my opinion anyways. Would need sponsors yes, a lot of planning sure. Get the champions out from the Highway, Wheatland, Big 6, Long Lake, QVHL, SWHL, etc... love the idea, on many front. Someone said they could post a big prize for the winning team? Would be a fun weekend for many.
What does everyone think of something like this?

There’s a unfair advantage for some leagues as they have different import rules and population rules. But if no one cared about those rules then ya it could be a fun time. But getting a tournament like this done in a weekend would be tough to do I’d think. For my pipe dream.. I’d like to see a tournament where the top 4 teams in each league in the province get entered into a 1 & done elimination tournament to see who has the best Sr team in the province. But it would have to be the same league roster. No adding players for the tournament. It would make the regular season in each league mean a lot more. Like I said.. Just a pipe dream |

Best that can happen don't worry about import rules being different just enter the top/champion teams and go. Settle the debate would be awesome hockey to watch that is forsure!

Year end Champions Tournament. Make this happen Monday Nooner it is your guys time to shine! 1st Annual, decide on a format and giver! Start brainstorming now. How many teams, locations (suggest playing in the actual towns if possible at all), “no pickups”, as per team played in leagues and won, sponsors, etc!! Bringing the spark back to senior hockey.

Bang it out over 1 weekend, have to win to keep going, I like it.
Couple rinks or Couple locations prob needed to do round robin.
Not sure how many title winning teams wouldn't like to come play and represent. Couple might not, in which case 2nd seed from league or Monday Nooner "pick ems" fill the bracket maybe from their wild top 10??? Spitballing
