Heard a couple players aren’t happy about their playing time in Drake. Wonder how many guys they will lose? Back to back prov A championships. No one is leaving. They are bringing in more guys this year. Couple wynyard boys I’m hearing. The LLHL will be beyond the super league this year. This will be good hockey to watch. Rumour is watrous is bringing back some of their guys from their previous A champion squad. Campbell and mcallum and klassens???

To me Watrous set the bar in 2018 having a double banner season. Since then Drake has set the standard. Although they haven't had the double banner year, back to back A provincial titles is quite impressive. If they can get guys to show up they'll be hard to beat any night. Lets also not forget they were in the north final and up one game in 2019 A provincials, so it's possible we were going to witness a 3 peat.

I also highly doubt Watrous brings back Campbell and McCallum. Campbell is going to be 41 this year, although he had a great season in the Twin Rivers League, it isn't a great league. Watrous being a team that needs longevity from a new group of imports, it wouldn't be smart to bring him back. Mccallum is slightly more intriguing as he has not played anywhere since his last year in Watrous, does that make him a non import for League and Provincials? McCallum has been playing in tons of tournaments this spring, maybe he will make a comeback? Klassens coming back to Watrous would definitely help, Is Sam Klassen not coaching anymore? If he is, his availability for the season would be suspect at best.

I was told those Wynyard guys that are supposedly getting pushed out to make room for the hobbs aren't coming to drake.... also heard that Connor Hobbs was doing his teaching practicum in Wynyard so if he lands a job there he could very well be a local... which would be the biggest local add in the province for sure. Raymore firing up is a sure thing now... so Wynyard will lose some of those Raymore guys, just not sure how many!

I'd be shocked if Drake's team isn't better this year for league anyways than it was last year. Some of their imports move over into exception status.. and rumour is a stud dman they picked up last year is moving into the area which would make him qualify as a local as well. Their bank account should be flush after that provincial run so no problem adding guys. As always the Pie will be exceptional

and further to my previous tweet, hearing that Lanigan is doing their best to bring in some high end talent for this coming year... also been told that Leroy is pretty set with their guys... main imports coming back and some new exceptions added as well.
