Absolutely no denying the super league at this point. Wadena up 1-0 in prov B finals. Drake, foam lake, Wynyard, lanigan, all representing in A finals. Best league in the province absolutely indisputable at this point.

Maybe not a bad idea for them to think about combining. Southey picked up a bunch of guys during the year everything was cancelled and they had the best shot of winning for a HHL/QVHL team lately.

That’s why it is provincials. Everybody can do it. League to league the LL is the best. QV is good, and maybe has the best individual teams but on a whole level LL is better IMO

Thats like having kenaston, Kyle, and Dinsmore combine and trying to brag about being “the best team” Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t Long Lake allowed as many imports as they want as well? Or is there a 3 import and 2 exception rule?

I believe is 3+2 plus an extra import if it’s a goalie. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Best league in the province absolutely indisputable at this point. *Man and woman are sitting down for a bland spaghetti meal in a run-down one bedroom house.* Man:”Oh man!! Drake just beat Kindersley in Prov A. That means there are still 5 teams from the Long Lake hockey league still in provincials. The Long Lake league is just the best in the province. It really is. You think so, right hunny?” *Man doesn’t wait for a reply, but instead leaves his dirty plate on the table and grabs a cold beer, to go sit on a second hand chair to watch Family Feud re-runs. The woman looks around the kitchen, looks at all the over-due bills pulling up, looks out the window at the 2004 Grand Caravan with 340,000 km and a check engine light that came on with this cold, and with a single tear, comes to the realization that the man she loves and choose to be with, is in fact the loser her mother warned her about.* *Fade to black*

It doesn’t matter who enters or not. Look at redvers, they picked up players from Watrous and how far is that? Maybe ask around. I do disagree with Lanigan and Watrous not entering but shit happens I guess. Long lake. Qvhhl, swhl, svhl and big six, They are the top leagues in the province. There’s some good hockey being played right now regardless. If you’re going to blame someone about the super league blame the Monday nooner.

I believe is 3+2 plus an extra import if it’s a goalie. Correct me if I’m wrong. Long Lake import rules for league play 4 Elite imports (played 80 games of Jr a or better) 4 Non-Elite imports (Less than 80 games of Junior A) 2 exceptions ( I think, cant recall if its 3 or 2)

Watrous was horrible and would have had to drop players to go in any division other than A, why bother? drive 3 hours and get smoked? or spend 3K and sit a bunch of locals? for what? same with Lanigan. Davidson can go C due to the amount of locals they have, same with Wadena. And since the LLHL teams have these rosters to begin with, add a few more guys and you have a real strong shot at provincials, case in point... the prov. A Final this year.

To be fair llhl is a great league but if every league was aloud to carry that many imports would they be the best league anymore. And it's unfair to call their provincial teams part of the league if they pick up 3 other teams from other leagues to compete in provincials.

Don't think anyone is calling the provincial teams part of the league, but it does speak to the quality of the teams when they are consistently in the hunt for provincial titles. every team in those divisions has to follow the same rules, so why does the LLHL / SVHL keep having teams winning titles. and this also answers your question about leagues and imports as well... consider each division like a league.. the LLHL consistently has teams in C,B,A every year. and have had teams go D in the past to.
