Shellbrook has won 16 titles. Hmm, I just did a recount on the SHA page and I still only see 14. Were there a couple that might have been a combined team and it's listed under a different community? Or might it be before the dates listed?

Now, let the debate begin, should they have 15 titles or 16 titles, the one in 2016 was by default. If I were to include AAA and AA, it would really change the stats.

Still don’t understand the difference between Senior “A”, Senior “AA” and Senior “AAA from back in the day?

No sask team has won the Allan cup? Llyod won the Allan Cup in 2001 and 2007. Also going way back Regina teams won during WWI and again during WWII

With all this great provincial hockey happening around the province this time of year, I would like to start the conversation about banners hanging in small town rinks. I have noticed quite a few banners that read, “north/south champs” or provincial a,b,c, or D “finalists “ Don’t get me wrong, great accomplishment to reach the final 2-4 in the province in your division, but is it banner worthy? The reality is a banner reading those things equates to -we lost our last game of the year. Thoughts?

as a player who has lost in final 4 times.....it sucks and is hard for first couple years or so...but looking back 5 years later you still won the north or south..........if you go to a nhl rink--they got like conferance campbell champs etc ive even seen divison winners when say they lost in the western/eastern/campbell wales series... so years after you have no clue if you even brought your runner up plaque home but its nice to see the banner in rink --it would be a bit to much if say a team hung a league finalist banner...but north south is good to go for prov euns even if you come up short in final

Each series is only 3 game series not 7 like the nhl. Or 82 game regular season. Not disagreeing just pointing out my opinion.

No banners unless you win a trophy.
