So the draws are out... 5 teams from the LLHL went provincials... When was the last time Watrous & Lanigan didn't go provs? tough look.
A
Drake (H) vs. Kindersley - hearing both teams picked up quite a few players.
Drake - 2 macdonalds (turtleford), Daelick (lanigan), mayan, zadorozniak & 2 dmen(??)
Kindersley - stephenson (outlook), stevenson(?), kyler hope(?), lane young(?).
unfortunately this should be the final not the first round, reading the other threads most folks are picking kindersley, but Drake knows how to win so will be a wicked series to watch.
------------------------------------------
Leroy vs. Loreburn (H)
haven't heard shit about either team... Leroy is a one line team in league play but i'm sure Ediger has found some decent pickups.
Zero info on loreburn
------------------------------------------
Wynyard vs. Lumsden (H)
Wynyard - Calladine (foam lake), Shields (Lanigan), Harmsworth (Lanigan. 3 really solid pickups to a good team.. they will be strong. Shields is a top goalie in senior for sure.
Lumsden - no info, heard they usually stick fairly close to their league roster for provs.
----------------------------------------------
B
Wadena (H) vs. Rocanville
Wadena - solid team that plays hard.. getting pretty long in the tooth for quite a few of their guys, rumor is this is the last kick at the can for several players and next year team could look a lot different.
Rocanville - Odgers -- all i got lol.
--------------------------------------------------
C
Davidson (H) vs. Kenaston
Davidson - they dropped Eli Litch, which will hurt their offence a ton... added Sam Klassen, and Greg Ferguson as locals so that will help on the scoring and defence side of things. Klassen hasn't played all year but likely won't matter.
Kensaston - defending C champs, with another deep roster. the favorite in this series for sure. Will be excellent hockey and should be huge crowds both ways.
All in all should be some excellent hockey to go and watch. Heard some ridiculous budgets for provincials on the A side of things so will be interesting to see who wins out, and who loses big..
don't care who your favorite is but always like to see LLHL teams do well in provs.
