If hockey is back in Jan I hear the cats have added Russel Goodman as their last import. The Cats woke up Christmas Morning to Russel Goodman under their tree.

I personally would like to congratulate the Waygons on being gifted the league title.
In a year of trials and tribulations its good to see that the banner goes to the team that most deserves it.

Just in case people are wondering what the heck is being talked about here. SHA has announced that return to play won’t be discussed for 4 weeks (as of Jan 13) and it clearly stated that return to play likely would not happen by the end of March.

So the story coming out of Saskatoon is Babcock isn't being paid by the UofS because the Waygons are sending him envelopes of cash so he convinces players to play in Wadena. Between the leafs and wildcats Mike will be making 10 million a year.

Problem with that is what if they are back to their same rosters from the last few years in a year or two? That is provided that they can still get back the players whom were displaced by hired guns. Foam Lake has done well with the switch though so maybe it would be feasible moving forward. Wynyard, Foam Lake, Wadena could all be back in the same league like they were for years up until Wynyard left for the highway in early 2000’s.

It is all about local talent, which starts in Minor Hockey. If we want our senior teams to be competitive we must have a solid Minor Hockey program in place. All it takes is 1 or 2 talented locals to start a nucleus around while bringing their buddies from the city home with them to enjoy the small town senior hockey experience. See it all the time.

Hearing rumblings of Tad Kozun to Wadena. If true, good luck to everyone else in the wheatland

What are you talking about? Nothing was mentioned about adult recreation except certain facilities will have to ask for proof of vax or negative test?
