1. Kenaston- should be just as good as last year. Lost a couple guys but added two studs. Will score a lot of goals. 2. Kyle- losing Shynk and company will hurt but Kyle added some nice pieces. Don’t think they’ve closed the gap on the Blizzards though. 3. Dinsmore- big provincial run and getting the big game experience needed at this level. Still missing that stud DMan and maybe an elite scorer to match Kenaston’s firepower. 4. Eston- always in the mix. Best hometown goalie in the league, and it’s not close. Some big changes were necessary and were made. 5. Outlook- aging core. When they have those two studs on the back end they’ll be a tough game. A veteran team that’s a miserable playoff matchup for anyone. Losing Keller hurts them big time. 6. Butte- solid team but missing top end scoring. Hucal was excellent last year. They’ll need him to be just as good. Could finish anywhere from 3-7 7. Rosetown- year two of the rebuild goes a little better. Sounds like they had a great turnout this fall and with Jagow playing another year they’ll have one top end line. 8. Loreburn- Chase Norrish and then a lot of questions. Losing the three Huskies and Evanoff really hurt them. Can’t see them finishing any higher than 7. 9. Delisle- need a talent influx and some leadership. Played a chippy game and got killed doing it. Can’t put good teams on the PP and need to find a way to score some goals. 10. Lucky Lake- added some pieces but it’s a long road for them. Short on local talent and just don’t have much firepower in a tough league.
Kenaston vs Dinsmore in the league final. Kenaston wins in 4.

Which 2 big studs on the back end? I’ve been told that Pyett & Stephenson are done. Also Spencer & Erlandson in addition to Keller.

Unless I’m wrong on who Outlook has or hasn’t lost, it looks like there is a clear top 5 and bottom 5 this year
Kenaston Kyle Eston Dinsmore C Butte
Outlook Delisle Rosetown Loreburn Lucky Lake

Kind of disappointed that the league championship is a foregone conclusion with Kenaston head and shoulders above the other teams in the top 5. Would be more entertaining to give Kenaston the championship now and have a competition for 2nd place.

I didn’t know about all of Outlook’s losses. If that’s the case then you’re definitely right, they will struggle. I will say those local guys sometimes have a hard time staying retired. Its been crazy quiet on here about team personal changes. Picked up a bit on Twitter. I do know Bembridge is back for another year.
I would hold off anointing a league champion. Lots can happen in 5 months. I can assure you the other teams aren’t giving Kenaston anything.

They might lose a couple games due to complacency but come playoff time it will be a runaway.

Now that rosters are posted i'll take a crack at this before opening weekend.
1. Kenaston: Arguably the best team in the province last year and added a couple studs to make up for retirements and the loss of P. Thomas. Predicting they will lose a few games this year though due to complacency, we shall see. 2. Kyle: They look like they'll be very good again and are getting Wittman back, a nice regroup after losing their 2 best players from last year. Will be playing with a chip on their shoulder this year after a disappointing end to last year. 3. Dinsmore: Wanted to put Eston here but can't ignore the goaltending advantage. A young scrappy group with a deep lineup but no real elites IMO. 4. Eston: Excellent forward group that will score lots of goals with Howe back too. Defence is okay but goaltending will lose them games, can be good enough to beat Kyle/Kenaston one night and lose to Loreburn/Outlook the next. 5. Butte: Haven't gotten worse, haven't gotten better. Always good for a couple big upsets per year. 6. Loreburn: Probably ranked way too high but we'll see what happens. Don't have an elite goalie to steal games anymore but rounded out there roster decently I'd reckon. Chase Norrish will win them a couple games. 7. Outlook: The team most likely to show up to every game with 10 skaters. Lost just about everyone but have a few young guys that made big contributions last year back this year. 8. Delsile: Always a tough game. Not the most talented but hard working, could be poised to move up depending on their new imports. 9. Rosetown: Outside of the big line very young and ultimately not the most talented. 10. Lucky Lake: Same as Rosetown minus a line of players that are top end senior hockey players. No clue what to expect here as hearing they are still throwing money around.

No clue what to expect here as hearing they are still throwing money around. Ended up being pretty accurate, not that it was really that hard. Kenaston & Kyle were on a whole other tier. 1. Kenaston: Cemented their claim as the best in the province, we'll see if they look any different come October. 2. Kyle: Elks got their horns back this year, as I expected. Won provincials again but costly suspensions and injuries sealed their fate against Kenaston. Would've liked to see that go 5 games. 3. Dinsmore: Got killed by injuries late and got poor goaltending in provincials, probably would've made it to the final again in C. Hearing they landed a stud goaltender for next year though, should also be convincing Thompson to come back full time considering he was their best player in playoffs. 4. Loreburn: The surprise of the year for sure but never really had a shot. Just a 1 line team with a star Dman that peaked in December, probably still kicking themselves for allowing Kyle Haines to end up down the road in Blizzard country. Provincial A team didn't pan out either. 5. Eston: Had the talent to get it done for sure, effort level seemed to not be there most nights. Poor D depth and no King in net sealed their fate. Made the provincial final by default lets not kid ourselves. 5. Delisle: Not a highly skilled team but easily the hardest working, gave the dynamos a real scare in that playoff series. 6. Butte: They had a decent level of talent but might might be the most vanilla team around. Hucul was their saving grace it seemed most nights. 7. Outlook: Looked good to start the year, carried by one of the best lines but where did their guys all go after christmas? Pretty tough to win games with 11 skaters. 8. Lucky Lake: Props to them for icing a team and entering provincials, had a couple bright spots on that team. 9. Rosetown: Went as far as Jagow, Johnston and Ireland could take them. Probably get a few more wins if those guys played more games.
