I haven't gotten any rosters yet. Heard Radisson beat Redberry 6-3 last night in exhibition. Not sure who was playing for both teams, but heard Flath was Redberry goalie.

I heard Radisson is having try outs and had 39 players come out so far? Not sure where all are coming from but seems like a lot. Does maymont have a team this year |

Just heard this morning that Maymont is planning to request a 1 year leave of absence. Too bad additional Radisson cuts couldn't fill out Maymont roster. Will be hard to restart next fall.

Was at Radisson/RedBerry game. Shots were probably 65+ To 15 in favour of radisson. Flath was outstanding. He will win them some games by himself.

Any notable players besides Flath in that game for either team? Also pretty bad on Maymont to wait until after the scheduling meeting and a week before the season starts for them to pull the plug. Had to have known 2 months ago what was happening you’d think

Maymont should be commended for icing a team for a whole decade despite being in a tiny market. They've punched above their weight for a long time. A strong league executive would do their best to provide opportunities for the remaining dedicated players who no longer have a place to play when all team rosters are set. Other leagues make accommodations. It would be nice to see the SPHL reach out.
