I have heard that Blaine lake has been approved and glaslyn is also coming back. Big rivers application was denied. Sounds like it will be a 10 team league

Pretty sure Spiritwood folded as well

Probably not a bad idea to deny big river. That’s almost a 3 hour hike from Perdue. If spiritwood folded there will be quite a few guys looking for places to play. Maybe there’s a possibility of them and Big river firing up the Beaver Lakes again?

Wouldn’t be surprised if some spiritwood guys ended up in Blaine Lake or Glaslyn. I know Spiritwood had a quite a few guys “comimg” out of Saskatoon. So maybe in Blaine Lake they actually will come.

I’ve heard glaslyn is absorbing the Spiritwood guys. Wonder what big Jeff’s plan is…I think a lot of guys are hoping he’s retiring

When big Jeff just plays hockey he’s a pretty good player. Moves surprisingly well for a guy that size. Anyone hear any other rumours about the league? Heard a couple days ago that Blaine Lake and Nielburgh are in. Is that true?

Without knowing anything about the new teams or anything about which teams added and lost players my pre season predictions for the season are: 1. Meota - Assuming they have 70% of the roster return. They always seem to have no trouble finding good JR players. Will probably lose a couple players to Glaslyn 2. Turtleford - Assuming they have the Mcdonalds return. 3. Battleford - Usually finish top 3. 4. Raddisson - Always competitive, usually middle of the pack. 5. Blaine Lake - Assuming they get alot of the Hafford guys and a couple good jrs. 6. Glaslyn - Should get their players back from Meota after a year off. 7. Maidstone - Who knows? 8. Perdue - ?? 9. Neilburg - 10. Maymont -

Meota - lost a whole line and a couple good depth players but they are always good at recruiting replacements Turtleford - if their 3 junior guys come back Battleford - always good depth but lacks top end talent and discipline to be at the top Radisson - looking to build off their solid showing in playoffs last year Glaslyn - got their first line back from Meota Blaine lake - should be competitive for their first year Perdue - can usually get some decent players out of Saskatoon Maidstone - expected them to be better last year so hopefully got some decent pick ups Neilburg Maymont

Well guess I'll jump in and state my predictions for the standings.... 1. Turtleford - again assuming McDonalds back. 2. Radisson - Building on their strong playoff 3. Meota - sounds like lost lots key players 4. Glaslyn - assuming line from meota returns and a few from spiritwood and elsewhere. 5. Battleford - lost a bunch and very young. "rebuild" 6. Perdue - hard say what they have could be better 7. Redberry - shot in the dark, should have decent crew. 8. Maidstone - solid bottom team 9. Neilburg - no idea really but can t be as bad as Maymont. 10.Maymont - Terrible rink, young crew, die hards won t be able to hold together much longer.

I heard Meota picked up couple studs so I don’t think they will be hurting to much losing the glaslyn guys
