Craik wins 7-4.
Any likely brimming with confidence heading home for game 3.

There will be 1000 people at the pillar dome tomorrow and 800 of them are first cousins. Should be a dandy.

As long as those plug referee assignors don’t try and muck up the works. Can totally see them assigning four 60 yr old refs calling unsportsmanlike penalties all night because Mike Reich is trying to get second assists on all the goals.

0 votes that craik would comeback and dominate. I’m not sure if dominate is an accurate description in game 2 but Craik was the better team last night for sure. Game star was Kenton Dulle.

My guess is this is the first time there has been a team from the wheatland to represent the league in a provincial final. This should help with the misconception that the wheatland is a garbage league. But somehow other teams from the Wheatland don’t seem to want to support another team from within. The LLHL and SVHL are way better at supporting each other that’s for certain. Having teams do well in provincials is good for your league.

Great crowd as expected and the atmosphere was pretty tense too...lots of jawing back and forth between the players and fans! The two Mike's were pissing players off as expected and the top guns for both teams didn't disappoint. Craik were the better team and if they can stay out of the box, they'll win at home tonight. Put this team in the WHL and they walk away with the title IMO. However...the notion that a WHL team is obligated to support Craik just because a fellow team in their league are in the D final is ridiculous. You're trying to tell me as an example Lanigan or Watrous would support Drake in LLHL? Or teams like Eston or Loreburn would support Kyle in the SVHL? Not a chance they would except if a player was picked up from another team (ie: Loreburn supporters getting behind Kenaston because of Norrish).

That being said wheatland is not a garbage league. But is more subpar than the SV, SW, LL. The wheaty people should really stop pretending otherwise.

Kenaston is banged up and needed to end it at home last night but came out flat again. Tough to imagine Craik not riding the wave of momentum at home and failing to close it out with the best home ice advantage in senior hockey.
