True. I thought in the past you had to pick up a emergency goalie from a lower division tho like a midget or junior c.

This is league not provincials, those rules don’t apply. It’s asking SHA nicely for an emergency goalie and then having them approve it.

Ya I get that but where does it say “ just ask a sha nicely” in the handbook. You can’t honestly say that has been a rule in the league previously. Teams have had to call up rec. goalies in the middle of playoffs cause their goalies have been hurt because they had no other choice. I don’t have a horse in this race so I don’t care, it just seems Mickey Mouse too me.

eplacement Goaltenders
4.03.02 Replacement Goaltenders
The following goaltender regulations pertain to Hockey Saskatchewan Provincial Playoffs, however, Senior Leagues shall have authority to grant permission to their member teams to use replacement registered goaltenders from other registered teams from within their league.
a) No replacement for any ill or injured player shall be allowed, except for the goaltenders. A replacement goaltender may be permitted by the General Manager or his designate, providing that a satisfactory certificate from a medical doctor or chiropractor is received indicating that the ill or injured goaltender is unfit to play. The following criteria, in order, shall be used in determining where a replacement goaltender is obtained from.
i) an affiliate goaltender
ii) a goaltender from a lower division or category within the
sponsoring center of the team.
iii) a goaltender from a lower division or category from any of the centers/non–centers that form the team, providing permission has been granted in writing by team management.
iv) a goaltender from a team of the same or lower category
providing permission has been granted in writing by team management.
v) Senior D category may come from either the Senior C or D
category.
b) Permission for the replacement by the General Manager or his/her designate shall be in writing and must be attached to the appropriate registration material for inspection. Where time does not permit, Hockey Saskatchewan shall inform the opposing team by phone before the next scheduled game. The player must join the team within ten (10) days of the date of the last game in which the injured or ill goaltender played or prior to the next scheduled game of the team. If the team is not scheduled to play within the ten (10) day period indicated above, the replacement goaltender cannot be replaced by another replacement goaltender unless he/she is injured or medically unfit.

Can someone shed some light on why/how pateman can be playing on balcarres right now?? He was playing with southey well after the Dec. 30 deadline. If you've seen Pateman play you would think maybe the opposition approved it. |

Milestone wins game 4 by a score of 5-4 to send this to a deciding game 5 in Milestone tomorrow night.

Lumsden wins game 5 by a 3-0 score. Home ice didn’t mean much this series as I believe the away team won every game.
Lumsden now plays Balcarres in the finals.

With a 2-1 double OT win Lumsden draws first blood in the QVHHL finals. Game 2 is Wednesday in Lumsden.

Shots 64-23 monarchs. Broncs I don’t think had a shot for ten straight minutes before Brothen mishandled what should’ve been routine glove save.. Not a hit in site either. Hopefully better game 2.
