Should of done this a few years ago to begin with, would like to see a solid northeast league and bring back some good rivilarys. Wadena could easily join long lake geographically. Hanley and craik also have plenty of options as well. I think a northeast league like the old Pasquia would do really well Wadena could probably stay in with a northeast league. Just depends if they want to win or play in a stronger league. $$$$ will determine that I'd assume

To be brutally honest I think this will be the last year for the Wheatland. If one team north of highway 16 joined you'd have a northern league. Agreed. Bring back the PHL…

It would be hard to attract players (even locals) that way from Saskatoon if they are travelling that distance every game. At least now in the WHL they have some travel closer to the city (although only being Craik/Hanley). Closest game being Kinistino is not appealing. Would make sense just not sure it would leave much overall league strength. In one way it may lead to more local teams which could be good.

Bring back the PHL… Kinistino Porci Tisdale Naicam Who else would join? Think Birch Hills would jump leagues? I think Carrot River would be able to make a competitive local team and could draw back former Thunder players. Would be interesting.

There would be enough teams and a lot more local players when travel is a reasonable distance.

There’s been rumblings a few different times about senior hockey in carrot but there aren’t too many small towns with junior and senior hockey, especially far away from the big centers.

Been saying it for years, carrot river can support senior hockey, lots of ex junior b players still around.

I elect DUFE92 as the new president of the Carrot River Senior team. Sounds like everything ready to go.
And COMEREADY as new president of the PHL.

I remember when the Wheatland took all the north teams in when they had no where else to go.

I remember when the Wheatland took all the north teams in when they had no where else to go. What exactly did happen there, did the Pasquia dissolve into wheatland and fishing lake? essentially, yes. The teams that were left moved to the Wheatland or Fishing Lake.

To be brutally honest, please tell me the ref in Tisdale vs Porcupine Plain last night isn't the same Trent Rumpel that runs around for the Kinistino Tigers. Being from the same league one would think that's a questionable decision.

To ref in the same league is questionable, but with the shortage of officials this year, might be that option or canceling games.
