Wasn’t expecting Biggar to win but when you play as bad as the pirates did anyone would have beaten them. No traffic in front of the net, to easy for Biggar goalie, it was an easy night for matlock. Nationals top line was nothing to fancy but got it done. Calladine and the boys were flying around the ice trying to make fancy passes but nothing ever worked. Instead of being fancy and pass the puck to many times, how about just make one pass or just shoot the puck on net. Pirates forward pick ups were awful. Looked like oleksyn hasn’t skated in five years. Biggar blocked some key shots late in the game also. I said pirates in two way back but don’t be surprised if pirates get swept. No one can complain about the refs, they let the boys play. You got to feel sorry for shields, made some huge saves to give them a chance. Pirates D depth showed, the top four were decent but there third pairing (won’t say names) costed them the game. Won’t really comment on the coaching staff because some one else did but four guys on the bench doing nothing. Makes a guy wonder if there just there for looks. Noticed Biggar only had one guy on the bench, was walking around talking to the boys, talking to guys individually. Lanigan coaches, take notes. Series is over Sunday.

Big game tomorrow, after watching last nights game I believe the Nationals can take them out. 50/50 is $1500 guaranteed.

I think it goes 3. No way Lanigan plays that poorly 2 in a row.

Game 2
2-1 pirates after one, shots 16-12 biggar. Biggar scored the first goal a minute in off a turnover, I think Novak scored. Dvernichuk scored first for Lanigan and then bricker had a short handed break away goal.

The reffing was horrible! First there late to the game then all they do is call penalty’s on the pirates. I get it, there’s a shortage but these two guys looked like clowns out there. 100 percent wanted biggar to win. Sorry biggar you missed your opportunity, you guys are done Saturday.

Biggar’s coach better bring out his cheerleading pom pom’s on Saturday if his team is going to have any chance after getting dominated today.

3-1 nationals early, an absolute joke of a roster that lanigan threw out there tonight, it’s too bad the 50-50 isn’t announced in the first period because there would be no one left here. you can make an excuse for the league series against wynyard during the week with 12 guys, but saturday night in your barn. come on.

4-1 biggar after one, 2 power play goals for biggar, shots 16-10 Lanigan. As Pinucks said, no one for Lanigan decided to show up. Not good for a provincial game
