I also question Kenaston legitimacy a bit as well , but I can’t see how a team could get away with fake addresses for players. There’s to many teams and communities that know who’s who, and where there actually from. Hockey DB gives all the info. The bigger question is how do they manage to find so many elite players? They obviously have an in with the Huskies. And aren’t afraid of poaching other teams imports. Being so close to city clearly helps. But spending money doesn’t hurt them either. They have to be in the top 10 for spending. Not judging, just saying. Kenaston in my opinion is a heavy favourite for D this year. you should get elite prospects app way better Then hockey db! 100 percent. Can't see why anyone would use db still.

The problem is with SHA’s 120km radius rule and not with the teams that use it. There really is no reason that a guy from prudhomme should be considered a local in kenaston. Radius is way to big, allows players who weren’t even close enough to play in the same league growing up be considered hometown for teams. Also the more towns closer to the team, the more “locals” available, so come provincial time these “locals” don’t count as imports keeping teams in lower divisions then where they should be

I agree with the 120 Km radius being too large. I’m not sure what the right distance is. My initial thought would be 80km. But to judge teams for playing by the rules isn’t fair. Every team uses the radius exemption in some way. Every town you add counts against your population so it’s not like they’re free players. Most imports are from the cities so let’s not pretend that there’s a lot of guys like Tkatch out there. Western League guys from a town without a senior team with an extremely small population.

Yeah it’s pretty unique for kenaston I think. That area is just loaded with kids from small towns. Even adding Norrish for provincials from Strongfield only added 40 people to their population lol.

The radius number is hard. In certain areas the towns are more spread out, but are closer together around the cities. Hard to find a number that would keep things competitive and not eliminate teams.

Foam lake roster is so corrupt.. kick them out of provincials How so? They lost 2 locals in Brett and Aiden. Shouldn’t have a problem with imports. Rhein is within 120km of Foam Lake.

The rivalry that has brewed between two good teams is always fun to watch. Only as good as your last one they say? or does 2/3 trump the last one? Senior hockey... the pinnacle for many folks!

Debden beats edam in a close series.Won't matter though because kenaston will destroy the winner of that series. Kyle beats kerrobert. Craik beats lucky lake. Foam lake beats Central butte. My guess is kenaston vs foam lake or Kyle in the final with a kenaston victory.

The only thing Debden might win in that series against edam is a fan brawl in the stands. Edam is deep, goaltending might be their only downfall.

Half their player never played anywhere but house and Debden doesn’t have a single player that didn’t play junior some where.
