Happy Friday everyone, time for another (correct) prediction!
Last week we saw the Crazy Canucks of Cupar open the inaugural season by giving the Strasbourg not so tricky Maroons a 14-2 beat down. Cupar could have played short handed and still won this game. (They had 3 or 4 short handed goals this game anyways). Truth be told, Cupar looked awesome. However, Strasbourg will get back into the swing of things; they are not losing by 12 type of team.
Following Strasbourgs hockey equivalent of an Atomic Wedgie™️, they then had to host the Indian Head Chiefs. This game has the honour of being the first OT game in the Prairie Men’s Hockey League. The Maroons ending it in speedy fashion in less than a minute. Final being 5-4. Penalty galore in the third period for the Chiefs. One thing that I took away from the game, is that Indian Head played great. Could have seen that game going either way.
Now for this weeks predictions: only one game this week sadly, but Ituna can finally gets into the action!
Ituna Avalanche @ Indian Head Chiefs:
This will be a good game to watch. Ituna has had a long rest since their early departure from last seasons playoffs in the Sask East. I couldn’t help but notice the Ituna players at the Cupar game against strasbourg, having a watch. I should have asked what they thought about their upcoming game, but I am quite shy, tee-hee. Ituna has had a team together for a few years, so I really think that this will be to their benefit. Indian Head held strasbourg to OT which is respectable, and genuinely played good in their first game. However, I’m leaning towards the gentlemen of Ituna.
Ituna wins 6-2
★: Darren Filarczuk (G) - Avalanche - 32 Saves, 1 Assist
★★: Lane Knapp (F) - Avalanche - 1 Goal, 4 PIM
★★★: Sly Webster (F) - Chiefs - 2 Assists
“Out in Bel-Air copped a new phone, Avalanche with the blue stone, I am the sh!t, can’t find a fit” - Migos
Endnote: Again, I will be at this game. If you would like to have a conversation, wait until intermission. Too many people came up to me and were asking for palm readings and crystal ball sessions. I would love to, but just not during the play, ya know? I am busy dissecting the play.
I thought it would be fun for me to show my prediction records. Here they are for this current year in senior hockey:
All leagues combined: 26 - 0 (yes, I predicted Delisle beating Kenaston, and Raymore beating Lumsden)
Prairie Men’s: 2-0
