I was called upon to give my updated predictions since the full release of the rosters. The problem is, is that I already knew the rosters when I made the prediction.. so my prediction is exactly the same. However, I cannot let my newest Disciple / Pupil empty handed after a request. So, here is my Week 1 predictions for the freshest league in Sask, the PMHL!
Friday, Nov. 8: Strasbourg Maroons @ Cupar Canucks:
If everyone can recall from my original season predictions, I had these 2 teams as 1 and 2 in the league. I originally was favoring the Canucks over the course of the season. And to be honest, I don't see why they wont win this game. The Canucks have home ice, and word on the street is that it will be a packed barn (first senior game in Cupar in half a decade!). Teams always play better at home, and Cupar has one of the more impressive history of home win records compared to other teams. Don't get it twisted, Strasbourg will make it a good game. They are nothing to sleep on. Strasbourg just might be lacking the intensity off the rip that the Canucks can garner at home. Since this the first ever game in the PMHL, I decided to use one of the oldest methods of Clairvoyance: Oneiromancy. This is the method of utilizing the unconscious part of your mind. Specifically, when sleeping to see the future within your dreams.

Saturday, Nov. 9: Indian Head Chiefs @ Strasbourg Maroons:
This will be the first home senior game for Strasbourg in quite a while as well. By no surprise, it will likely be packed in there as well. Strasbourg will have the disadvantage of a back to back this weekend. However, this being their first game in a long time, I almost feel like it is an advantage; ironed out the kinks before their opponents, Indian Head, has played. On paper, Indian Heads roster is .. not great. However, this team could have been in the lab. Getting their chemistry straight, and shock the league. But to be truthful, I think this might be the first butt kickin' in the league.. given with pleasure by the boys in burgundy. For this game, I rubbed my balls: the crystal variety. Here is what I saw in my clairvoyant / schizophrenic episode:

End Note: I will be in attendance of both of these games this weekend. If you happen to see me, do not be a stranger! I will be wearing my signature grey robe. I will likely be taking notes on the games using my dodo bird feather, writing on my comically large scroll (I will unroll and drop it by accident and it will seemingly be endless and roll forever.. kinda like when a clown pulls those silly ropes out of their mouths, haha. Like, how do they fit all of that in their mouth!?) And to make it even easier for you all to spot me, maybe I will also be sporting a top hat. Enough about myself.
