For some of the oldtimers on here, why was Assiniboia so dominant in the early 90s in Senior A and Senior AAA? Good local core? Good Imports? Looking back at past Senior A champions, not many teams ever won 3 in a row in Senior A.

Looking back at past Senior A champions, not many teams ever won 3 in a row in Senior A. Being the largest centre in the region at a time where more local boys stayed home made a huge difference. The Rebels still greatly benefit from this today. |

One of the reasons - Kent Blyth. The guy was dominant.

Was it all local guys? Or did they bring in players from MJ and Swift and Regina?
