D = 3 imports C = 4 imports B = 5 imports A = unlimited 5 imports for B would be perfect. If this isn’t changed, the B division is dead Under the current rules you're allowed 5 imports - 3 imports and 2 non-imports for B, C and D. Are you suggesting 3 imports for D and no non-imports and 4 total for C with also no allowance for non imports? The issue I see is imports jumping around for more money or whatever the reason is. The non-import rule was brought in to attempt tp stop that but it isn't working anymore. What's wrong with getting rid of the 2 non-imports and going with 5 imports for B, C and D and having teams divided up by population?

Should be a higher import allowance for B than D. Otherwise if all of B/C/D have the same import allowance, then the difference between an A team and a D team is literally 1 player.

Why should a team that falls into the D population bracket not be allowed 5 imports? The smaller centers should be allowed more imports than the larger ones as they have less people to draw from. And not sure where you get 1 player difference from an A team to a D team? I haven't seen a team enter into A with only 6 imports

And not sure where you get 1 player difference from an A team to a D team? I haven't seen a team enter into A with only 6 imports Because if you have <3500 population and 3 imports, you qualify for C (which then gets split into C + D, based on how many teams enter and their populations). Now add 1 import to that roster - puts that team at 4 imports. Only bracket you qualify for now is A.

SAHA can be blamed for wrecking PROV hockey.
This is sustainable:
AAA Wide Open NEW can play in 2 categories A up to 10 Imports RULE B up to 4 Imports RULE C up to 4 Imports RULE D up to 4 Imports RULE
Population?.

I honestly wish it was a little more like Manitoba. Only way to get to provincials is if you win your league. That would give us the true best teams in the province. Not sure why it isn’t talked about more actually. Also the league champs get to pick from the crop of the league to add I think 3 affiliate players for the provincial run. Not sure if it’s like tournament format or what but I think that would be awesome. Or do we love the super team action we get now? I think this would be equally good. No offence intended, but if you think this would "give us the true best teams in the province" then I have to suggest you have not thought the concept completely through.

Even teams that get bounced in the first round rely on provincials to keep people interested and dollars coming in to the team and rink.

He used to play a few years ago and i was explaining how many teams and leagues there are in SK he was blown away.

They've had something like 5 leagues fold the last 10-15 years
