Here she goes
1. Rosthern - if they can get a somewhat full bench, they will be tough to beat - playing short bench will catch up to them down the stretch. Most well rounded team offensively and steady on the back end. 2. Birch Hills - Always steady - have pulled out some close wins and not as good as in past years. 3. Shellbrook - Offensive powerhouse when Smith is in the lineup. This guy is a beast. Poor defensively and average goalie. Need Smith to win some high scoring games for them. 4. Waldheim - Somewhat surprising to see them with 7 wins in 11 games. If you are able to shut down their 1 scoring line, you will have success. Solid steady tender. Tough schedule late January/Early Feb but will easily lock up a mid-seed playoff spot. 5. Warman - Who knows which Warman team will show up on any given night. 6. Allan - Slow start but getting more into the W column. Haven't had the chance to watch them yet. Look like a balanced team. 7. Cudworth - Young team for the most part that plays very hard. I believe they have a couple new coaches that seem to have this team on the up and up. If they can stay out of the penalty box, they will win a couple more yet and sneak into the playoffs. 8. Dalmeny - Slow start. Lacking talent that they have had in the past years. Majority of remaining schedule appears to be against lower teams in the standings. Look for them to be .500 in remaining games. 9. Clavet - So-so team as always. 7 of last 8 are on the road - whoever made their schedule must have been into the jug at the time. Lot's of tough games left. one - most likely 2 more wins against Hague this year will be it. 10. Hague - 24 goals scored in 10 games. BRUTAL. Goalie steals 2 wins for you. Better luck next year.
Here's to hoping hockey can continue into 2022. Have a great break and see you at the rink in the new year!!!!

They are significantly better in playoffs at home. IMO Shellbrook is probably the team to beat. I know they lost to Rosthern but that was without Smith. If he is there for games in playoffs they shouldn’t lose to anyone. Although I heard rumours him and Lamotte are going to Kindersley for A provincials which might complicate things. Waldheim and warman aren’t on top threes level with consistency.

I'm going to give my own evaluation. I've watched every team in this league at least once. One thing I've learned as that this is definitely a "working man's league". Seems like teams having full rosters is few and far between. But here it goes:
1. Rosthern - They have a very strong team. I think that Brett Blatz is the best D-Man in this league. He doesn't put up the points, and doesn't look flashy, But I've seen this team a few times and he definitely stands out above the rest out there. Goaltending has been really good for Rosthern, not sure what happened to Duval, but assuming he's back in the second half, that will help a lot. Overall, best d core, and best forward depth in this league. Biggest thing will be if they can get guys to show up and become committed, of they buy in and show up, look out, especially with the addition of Swanson. Their +29 goal differential is best in the league as well.
2. Birch Hills - They have a very well rounded team. This team knows how to play together and don't make it easy on any opponent. Gunville and Jones seem to carry this team, but they seem to have 3 solid lines every night. This is a team that when you pull up their stats they don't stand out, but teams will under estimate them and will lose. Take them seriously folks, they can play.
3. Shellbrook - Maybe the most interesting team in this league. Dylan Smith is a freak out there. There is no denying that he can score goals. One thing I'm looking forward to seeing is him play a team like Rosthern or Birch Hills. Sure the point totals look nice, but scoring 5 against Hague doesn't really matter, need to do it against the big dogs as well. Their forward group hands down has the most skill, they also play very well together. They seem to know where each other are at all times. This teams defense and goaltending might be what holds them back from a League Title. Lammont playing their is huge for them, he's a hell of a player, hope he figures out how not to lose his head throughout games.
4. Waldheim - Maybe the weirdest team to describe. They have some solid players that will make a difference each night. Unfortunately for them they don't have the depth to compete at the top of this league. Hiebert, Friesen, and Thiessen are all solid. If teams don't put a game plan in for guys like this they will make them pay. Thiessen can steal a win any night as well.
5. Warman - This is a team that needs to figure it out in my opinion. Being this close to Saskatoon and not being able to draw in better imports is tough. This team should have the money to bring in talent, not sloppy seconds from Rosthern. They needs to continue to make sure they get their Beardy's players committed to their team, because if they jump ship to Rosthern they would be in trouble. Brayden Anderson is still a great player, but he needs more to play with. Rumor has is it they've entered A provincials again, Lets hope they figured out how to recruit.
6. Allan - If they get everyone to show up they can compete. They don't have the flashy players, but they work hard and can compete night in and night out. I think Allan needs to stop worrying about the switch from the Wheatland and give this league some more respect. Brossart and Pasternak carry this team. They seem to be a bit surprised in the parody in this league, I expect them to be better in the second half of the season.
7. Cudworth - Young team, don't have that high end skill to compete with the top half of the teams. They've given teams some good games, but at the end of the day they aren't quite ready to compete in this league. Schwark can be fun to watch as well.
8. Clavet - Another team that needs to do better in drawing players to their town. So close to the city but can't seem to find good players to play. Thorimbert might be the best goalie in this league when he's on. But at the end of the day this team doesn't scare anyone. I honestly don't know if I see this team making playoffs.
9. Dalmeny - They will be much better in the second half. Leverton can still take over games. Wouldn't mind seeing him play a little more selfish. One of the best shots in this league, he needs to use it more. That top line can put pressure on every team in this league, but their depth and back end makes it tough to hang in games. Their goaltending might be top 3 worst in this league.
10. Hague - Happy to see them get a win against their rivals in Rosthern. This team is just frustrating to watch. They are in a tough spot with location. Don't see why players would pick there over Warman or Rosthern. Younger team as well with some personnel changes, they will be better next year.
Final predictions. - I think Rosthern will finish first in this league. This shouldn't scare anyone as they always seem to get close to the trophy but never take it home. Shellbrook vs Rosthern Final, and I'll let you guys predict the winners. Hope you enjoyed.

Shellbrook remind me of the oilers, they got the two best players in the league with smith and lamotte just have 0 goaltending I’ve watched most games and there are atleast 2-3 goals a game that should not be let in at all. Pretty hard to win games when you have to out shoot everyone by double the shots to have a chance.

They easily have the best player in the league in Smith and Lamotte is likely the second best. But my god is their defence and goaltending atrocious. I watched them nearly lose to Cudworth. Cudworth is not a good team. If someone figures out how to shut down these two in playoffs it will be a short season. From the sounds of it buying them a few drinks pre game might be enough. They Don’t get by Rosthern or Birch Hills or Waldheim.

This really is a perfect description of shellbrook. maybe they should look into firing they're coach adding forward and defensive depth and a new goalie or two or they really don't stand a chance! "almost" losing to cudworth with 11 skaters is absolutely "atrocious"
