Fair enough, I doubt too many young guys from Regina are going to want to travel to Hodgeville (awful rink btw), Coronach, etc. It's a lot of miles every weekend. Even if it's mostly locals, Milestone is too far to be in this league IMO. To far to be in this league? They would be pretty much in the center of the Soo Division. Milestone will be in this league sooner then later, weather Abbot likes it or not. Fair enough, looking like a bad decision on the NHLs part.

People need to look at a map before they post lol. Distance is not the reason The comment about Assiniboia having jr b as a feeder while theory it should be true but nobody good local plays for them it’s kinda a sad organization Milestone will be in eventually. Abott was guy pushing to not then in but I also think other teams were little gun shy just cause league has almost doubled in two seasons. Also Glentworth voted no for all them soo teans and now has folded

Also, this is just speculation but I would think the boys in the Notekeu would rather go back to traditional teams like Ponteix, Kincaid, Mankota etc in the future before making the league to large. That was more my thinking with “distance”…the NHL has never gone further east the Willow Bunch in the past IIRC.

No reason they can't expand to the east, better competition out there makes the league better. I'd rather see 2 divisions and an interlocking schedule where the champions from each division play in final instead of a home and home with each team

Coronach was always the furthest east team and is now central. Willow bunch hasn’t had a team in 20 years. Either way there’s a full division of east teams now. Lafleche coming back was the last expansion of any of the past teams.

It worked but even amount of teams makes home and home Bette and I think new and old teams wanted a chance to actually go to each others barns.
