Colonsay played on the league off and on from 1992 to 2002 before they combined with Viscount to form the Viscount Colonsay Hitmen. Does anyone know what the team name of the stand alone Colonsay team was? Also does anyone have a good source for league information prior to the 2004-05 season?

I am working on trying to get earlier information on the league. Thanks for the feedback. I had found information on archived pages of the league website at archive.org but the league website was changed in 2004 and I can' t find anything earlier. I wasn't sure if someone from the league may have been on this website that could have had old league information saved someplace.
Thanks again.

love what you're doing. Keep it up. Sask senior hockey is fairly niche, so I love the preservation of it's history.

They played in the league in the 80's also. I believe it was 1989 last time they won leaugue. Sad they have no team anymore was always packed in the barn.

Monarchs? I grew up just north of Colonsay. Went to a few of their games in the late 80's/early 90's. This was before they combined with Viscount. Viscount's Senior team at one point was Vipers before the Vi-Co Hitmen.

I'm thinking perhaps Jim Gray and/or Warren Cooper in Colonsay. Both gentlemen still reside in Colonsay.

I played on the team in 94,95 then again In 98 I believe. They joined viscount a few yrs later. Grew up in colonsay. The monarchs was the team name through the 80s as well. Rick kowalski was the coach my first cpl years.

Yes, there is still some minor hockey.
I think maybe go as high as U13.
Then I think most kids head to Watrous, Clavet or even Lanigan. *Spit* Old High school rival. As one of my old neighbours in Meacham his son played there. I remember most guys my age playing up till they were done Grade 12 at the "Midget" level.
