And yes I can’t see how there will be any long term having a team out of all these west teams. Mossy, lafleche and Glentworth and maybe even Gravelbourg it takes all them plus more just to get minor league teams
That’s rich coming from teams that were just welcomed into the league cause they weren’t competitive enough to play in the existing leagues in their regions. I’d say this is moreso about having to compete with them to recruit players in those areas and knowing Milestone would be a top team in the league. Common sense say yes, but they voted no so that’s the only other reasons. Not great for a league that was on life support a few yrs ago imo.
Not sure what soo line teams didn't want milestone, but I do have some contacts in that division and can tell
You Yellow Grass was one who was FOR milestone joining the league. The problem is they along with Radville and Rouleau do not have votes as they are still on a probation period.
I do also think milestones roster would change drastically, and most of there players would be kids who are playing in the Sask Jr C league who are local kids. Compared to right now where a lot of there top end players are from the city, or near by Wilcox, and those players would now count as imports.
Would have been a great add to the league, especially with the surrounding towns now in the league.
