I question the long term health of Rouleau if they don't ice a more competitive team next year and Glentworth if Lafleche steals a bunch of their players.

Supposedly mossbank is in if they can get the bodies commited. I can’t see a long term where Gravelbourg mossbank laflece Glentworth can all get enough guys for teams..
as for milestone I don’t think anyone wanted a team with QVHL mindset in the league even if said they were going the local only route Never got any real details but heard it was a very interesting meeting

Alrighty Also what's a QVHL mentality? Cause I heard milestones too guys all aren't returning and they are planning to ice prominently local team, lots of kids in that town looking to play that can't cut it in the competitive Q, combined with milestone wanting to cut costs with travel, players being paid etc. I think they would be a great fit in this league. The Notakue teams that voted no dropped the ball on this one. Really hope they re consider

Really hope they re consider Mossbank had a team up till 2021 Covid season shutting down after first weekend and I think we’re still listed as temporary absence so I think they are getting a benefit of the doubt type of vote. I do agree with you they would have been a good add for the league specially if it’s true they are going all local. But I think the mentality is they been a strong team in a top league and always did ok in provincials. How long does the local only last and then they start bringing in Regina capitals like they always had which for most of the guys would get in under import rules

How long does the local only last and then they start bringing in Regina capitals like they always had which for most of the guys would get in under import rules Every team in the league plays under the same rules and the original teams even have an advantage with having existing players grandfathered in. Such a poor excuse to not allow a team in. If you’re worried about Junior B players being too much for the league then you should be playing rec hockey. Assiniboia has literally benefitted from having a local Junior B team for years and have spent tons of money on imports. Atleast Milestone is an established franchise that you don’t worry about flaking off in a year or two. This is a handful of teams that are worried about a team that would be competitive in the league under the same rules that every other team has to play under. I’d be more worried about Rouleau, LaFleche, and Mossbank having teams on a year to year basis. Mossbank is in and out and are trying to re-enter when they don’t even have fully “committed” players? Milestone has a lot more to bring to the table than a lot of other teams.

I would have voted yes on them cause I don’t disagree with the points being made but I’m just a guy on a forum lol. I heard and of course stories change as they go person to person that was even close soo line teams were against it. Claiming didn’t wanna have to deal with milestones shit what ever that means I’m not sure And yes I can’t see how there will be any long term having a team out of all these west teams. Mossy, lafleche and Glentworth and maybe even Gravelbourg it takes all them plus more just to get minor league teams

I’d say this is moreso about having to compete with them to recruit players in those areas and knowing Milestone would be a top team in the league. Common sense say yes, but they voted no so that’s the only other reasons. Not great for a league that was on life support a few yrs ago imo.
