Milestone is getting older they have had a midget team for the past 5 years and none of these kids are good enough for the Q. The current spending habits of the Q for imports is tough to keep up with. I can see them leaving and let young guys play in a less competitive league. Grenfell have no young locals either. Once their older studs retire they might be in trouble as well to compete unless they start paying everyone balcarres has some good kids in midget coming up so I don’t see them getting worse anytime soon with the money they spend

I have not heard this but doesn't mean it isn't true. Milestone would destroy in that league with their current roster. The import rules in the Notakue are a little different than the Q. Can only have 3 elite imports and they have to reside in the center which the team plays out of, so guys from Wilcox and surrounding area would now count as an import instead of a local like they do in the Q. An elite is considered anyone with 41 or more games of Jr.A experience, if a players 35th birthday falls before Dec 31 of the season, they are exempt. You can also have as many "non-elite" imports as you want. Makes sense to me they would switch, they are smack in the middle of the Soo division in that league and on outskirts of the qvhhl. With Travel price increasing, and like it was mentioned the price of players in a league like the Q, this would be a good a good move for Milestone, and I'm sure a lot of there players would agree, especially if RL is accepted into the QVHHL.

Not in the Q. Only ones out of junior A or higher University or pro make an impact in the Q. All others can’t play. In a few years of seasoning can make top six in the Noteque. There are lots of poor plates in that league there are not even good rec leaguers. Not called Div 3 for nothing

No chance. They don’t have the votes. It was unanimous last year. Don’t know how that changes this time around. Teams should look at gate and canteen revenue tho. They have a solid fan base. Can’t base a decision on canteen sales and fan base. lol Youhave to look at the whole Package and more so an evaluation on previous history. You want a guy like Shaq Houle in your league. Guy is unpredictable and is going to hurt someone seriously. Just came off a 7 game suspension.

However those same jr b guys are probably top level players in the notakue

They have a solid fan base. if they were allowed in a league, they would not be getting 1000+ fans at homes games, nor that many followers to their away games. this is a once off thing. and imo even next season if they enter a prov team, the novelty will wear off for that many fans following them around esp in the first few rounds,

they might be that many followers for prov's but for regular season league play not a chance.
and yes no question, they have been good to get people out of the house and to the rink to watch some great hockey

Back in the day they’d be lucky to get 100 Fans. Their just gifted with so much import talent that they are drawing fans from every corner of the province.

The big thing to remember here is the RL team requesting to enter in any league will be a completely different team than the one playing in sr A provincials. This team is loaded with pro players from all corners of the province and all are imports. They can’t fit on a league roster import wise, and even if they could these guys all have their own team to play on all year. Maybe they come back again for provincials but won’t happen in league.
So, what will happen is there will be 2 different RL teams. The team loaded with local guys which would be very similar to the Ochap Thunder team from previous leagues. Then, a provincial team where every one of those players but 1 or 2 is in the stands watching.

Would have to double check but I don’t think there’s a limit on imports for notekeu for guys that are below the elite level status. The rule on the league site states 3 elites. 41 games min of jr A or college or higher. But no number for amount of non elites I guess so guys from Wilcox that are under the limit would be fine for milestone in this league. Also haven’t heard of them approaching the league yet but I guess they are still in action

I was more just saying guys from Wilcox they may pick up (ND guys) or other small towns around will count. Qvhhl has a good import rule I believe with the radius factor, Notakue does not. I believe The Notakue did not grandfather guys in for Yellow Grass when they moved leagues so I can't see them doing it for milestone either.
