These posts are the exact reason this forum is ridiculous. I am sure it was intended for people to comment on the games that are or were being played. You have a series with two damn good hockey teams and no one talks about that. Somehow it turns to whose league is better or who is paying money. Both these two teams showed they are good hockey teams in two good leagues. It is so irrelevant the majority of the posts who cares who picked up who and who dropped who. Redvers and Foam Lake played in the South Final with the teams they registered for provincial playoffs. More of you should go out to your local rinks and support these teams that are playing their asses and support them, instead of talking total crap and comment on the games being played.

Redvers gave Kenaston a very good run last year . Games coulda went either way in that series last year and Kenaston is going to win A this year. A is over rated.

Then say they don’t have the money to compete in A. Foam lake never enters A because they’re scared. Plain and simple.

Here is the game recap from last night. Congratulations to the Redvers Rockets of the Big Hockey League for reaching the Provincial D final. After twenty minutes the score was 2-1 and fans were wondering, "How in the heck was Foam Lake still in the game? Kopeck opened the scoring less than a minute in a lovely passing play only to have Travis Mayan reply 3 minutes later on the p.play. Smallchild scored on a point shot midway through and Flyers net minder Rylan Toth held them in after getting outshot badly. Flyer Aiden Bulych tied it up early in the second with ageless wonder Rocket Drew Hoff roofing a beauty making it 3-2. Mayan notched another to tie it at 3 and then Redvers scored two late ones, the last another beauty shorthand roofer by Hoff, making it 5-3 after two. Shots again lopsided. It was a very exciting third period. Foam Lake tied it up at 5 with 10 to play, the latter on a terrible Redvers defensive give-away. Rocket Travis Poirier scored on a see-eyeing point shot with 7 to go only to have Flyer Zach Zadaronziak tie it up at 6 with 5 to go. Another point shot by Rocket Blair Toms found the twine with 4 minutes left. Redvers took a late third period penalty with 2 to go and the Flyers almost tied it up with their goalie pulled. Final score 7-6 with Foam Lake never having the lead. With the three Rocanville pickups, including forwards Ryan Regel and Ashley Howie, Rocket Coach Ken Potapinski was able to roll exactly 9 forwards and 6 defensemen in this game. I believe his other 3 forwards dressed did not even get one shift. All three lines played extremely well and caused the Flyer blue liners nothing but forechecking grief all night long. Despite losing a heart breaker to Moosomin in league finals the night before, Redvers came out flying from the get go and totally deserved the victory. Both teams played rather porous defence and except for Toth in the first, he and Thomas Bauche saw a lot of rubber and played average at best. Final shots 45-22. I just have to give credit to Foam Lake's #22 Travis Mayan. 2 goals and 2 helpers. He was definitely the best player on the ice for both teams. 5 minor penalties to Redvers, only two to Foam Lake. Game well reffed by Murray Gray and Riley Bernard, the latter whom I had never seen before. Crowd estimated at 600, pot of gold $1800.00 won by a Redvers local. Proud of the Big Six making the provincial finals.

Toms scores the winner when he should have been kicked out of the game with a textbook checking from behind at the end of the second. You won't see those refs doing anymore provincial games.

Haha blatant check from behind??? Far from it. Just because you lay on the ice does not mean the guy should get tossed. It’s 2 mins for boarding. Nothing more.
