Dinsmore and Kenaston were the home team tonight. So you would think Kindersley and Wilkie were the ones who wanted the games postponed? I 100% agree with the call by the way. Glad there’s some adults involved with these teams. Ok Karen |

Funny thing about all this is gong to be the Carnduff guys having to take days off work to be around for a possible game game on monday… bunch of bullshit, say what you want about the storm, Kyle took advantage of coming off a tough game, got the rest and now it’s going to be Carnduff making the sacrifices for game 2 and 3. I hope Carnduff mops the floor with these pukes, never seen a softer move in my life… they could have been down here and on there way home before a single snowflake hit the ground

The issue I believe over the last 24 hours is one's interpretation of what constitutes a "storm". On Saturday afternoon the only area I saw on the Highway Hotline map that was being considered "travel not recommended" or roads were closed was west central area.
So how does the decision making process work to cancel? For context I was involved in senior hockey as a player + a coach for ~22 years...I can recall the number of games cancelled due to weather was 2, maybe 3. Many of us on here can tell some stories of some awful weather we shouldn't have driven in but did it anyways because we had a game to get to!
Prioritizing safety when winter travelling is important as we all know. However it appears there was games cancelled Saturday that should have been played. It is even worse Sunday morning and looking like it isn't getting much better.

Life is bigger then hockey im hearing that the bus line companies and thier drivers were saying no to going anywhere yesterday and I’m not sure why the Carnduff fans on this page would want to try to engage the Kyle Elks team as being Scared of Anyone…. |
