Have to feel for the poor Jansen team, they were just out matched. boys vs men out there. Good example of just how good provincial hockey is, the second goalie that played, actually looked good and made some saves, anyone know why Jansen chose to play their back up? Ya 13-1, just incredible provincial hockey. Congrats to the wildcats on a hard fought series. Musta been a nail biter to watch. 🥴

Heard it was a bloodbath. Jansen had no hope in hell and they knew it. Wadena is coming out of the North. They will beat kenaston. Kudos to Jansen for entering but they should maybe enter c or d next year

They should be banned from entering the A bracket for the next ten years.

But you have to give them credit for entering.

Give them credit for entering? I don’t get that. It’s embarrassing. You look at the path Wadena has to get to the finals and it’s an absolute joke because Jansen had some fairytale dream they could play A? A team that clearly has no business being in A should not be allowed to enter. It affects integrity of the entire bracket. Partially hockey Sask’s fault for letting Jansen have a bye to second round.

You’re upset like you have money on this or something lol “effects the integrity of the bracket” relax pal, this is senior not the Stanley cup playoffs . Should Jansen have joined A? Probably not no, but credit for them entering, especially when so many teams opt out of provincials. By your logic half the teams in A shouldn’t have entered and we could have had a 4 team bracket… is that what you really want? Some teams have easier paths than others, that’s sports get over it, no matter your path you need to win your games, whether you face a strong opponent in the first round or not until the finals, if you lose, you were never good enough to win it all anyways. I have no connection to Wadena or any teams in A, I’m just so sick of seeing people shit on teams for entering with a weak roster, then turn around and complain that nobody enters provs anymore. Have we all forgotten what senior hockey is about?

Jansen wanted to keep the team together and not drop anyone for provincials. they got a tough draw in Wadena, and i don't think there was a team in A that they would have played that wouldn't have beat them.... but teams can do what they want.

I agree somewhat. I don’t think teams should necessarily be turned away from entering what they want to enter. But on the other hand some teams in A have a very tough path to the final in fact most do but seems some are quite easy. It does effect the integrity of the tournament.

Also they will have to get past either Watrous or Leroy, both who have made multiple pickups to their league teams where Wadena is going with their league team. So its not an easy path to the finals.

Every other team is adding players or have put in the time, effort and money to put a competitive team in A. If Jansen tries to enter the same team in A next year, your in support of that? Should the local beer league team enter in A next year as well?

You want teams to enter cause provincials is an exciting time of year. Jansen for example doesn’t win a game in any of the categories I don’t think anyways. The strong teams aren’t only in A. Every year there are teams that enter cause it’s exciting to go in and get an extra gate usually bigger then a league game. Never going to get a “fair” draw unless Hockeysask goes to a seeded bracket but then that’s just more for people to **** about their team not being ranked high enough. So in all that. Every year teams enter and some win a round or two and others get smoked that’s the way it goes no sense complaining that someone got an easier round.

I think we should be complaining about the stupid new provincial format/rules rather than a team entering.
Foam lake rolls Lucky Lake no one complains.
Macklin rolls Perdue no on complains.
Wilkie rolls PP and no one complains.
You put Jansen up against St.Walburg and I bet they have a close series.
If Wadena wins Provs and you think it’s should have an asterisk on the banner because they had one easy round you can write into the SHA.
And with that,
GO BLIZZ GO

Jansen wouldn’t have had a shot at D, why even enter, there are teams in A whose worst player dressed is probably better than Jansen’s best. What an absolute clown show SHA is running, at the very least make them play a first round series. There was absolutely zero chance of them winning. Go to Assessippi if you feel the need for a team bus trip and save the beatings.
