Let's get some predictions for the playoffs
I got first round:
Axemen upset theodore in 3
Canora in 2
Rocanville in 2
Langenburg in 2
Round 2
Canora over axemen in 5
Rocanville over Langenburg in 4
Finals
Rocanville in 4
Only taking the axemen round one cause I would assume they will have a full lineup for playoffs. If not then Theodore takes it easy.

Rocanville in 2, maybbbbee if it's a week night, churchbridge gets a full squad, and rocanville is short guys and this is a huge maybe, but maybe churchbridge squeaks a close one out and home and takes it to 3. But I'm doubtful and saying rocanville in 2
Langenburg in 3. I think wapella gives them a good run for their $, considering they hung with them in the regular season.
Theodore takes Axeman in 3. Axeman make it close. Close but not enough.
Canora in 2
Semis
Rocanville in 3 over Langenburg
Canora in 4 over theodore
Finals.
Canora in the full 5 over rocanville.

Langenburg over Wapella in 3
Theodore over Canora in 5
Langenburg over Rocanville in 4

Depending on how far the teams go in provincials. (This prediction is Langenburg out vs Carnduff. Canora goes 3 rounds and in 3 game series) Theodore goes 2 rounds in two 3 game series. And Rocanville gets forced to play without the guys from Redvers.)

Anyone at the Axemen/Theodore game? Caught part of it on night shift on the live feed and looked like the axemen were taking it to the buffs. See on Twitter they won 6-3. Would like to hear what someone at the game had to say

I was at the game, go to most Buffs game and they came out flat and really didnt show any life all game. Was Schwartz even playing? Seen the Axemen a couple times this year and never seen them with a lineup like that and they came to play. Their top 2 lines are fast and dangerous. If game 2 is the same 2 teams then its an early exit for the buffs going by what I saw.

Wow made the drive to minitonas today for the afternoon holiday Axemen vs buffs game and it did not disappoint. Rink was packed. I'd guess 500/600 people. 50/50 pot hit $6000 total. That cold small rink was loud.
My take on the game, Shymko out played dubyk and the buffs scored on their chances. Thought the refs did a good job, both teams had pp chances. Axemen pp was on fire in period 1 but went ice cold after that. Buffs played a solid game throughout.
5-4 buffs with a couple minutes left and axemen get a penalty shot chance to tie it with one of their better players Tripp shooting and hits the crossbar. Buffs closed the zone after that and ice it with an empty net.
Game 3 Friday in Theodore? I know where I will be.

No Schwartz Herman Olauson Kuzek Evans and they still found a way to win. Game 3 will be a must see. |

Axemen vs Theodore might have been the best first round I've seen in a long time.
Game last night was fun. Half the Theodore crowd was axemen fans, they obviously travel well. Axemen seemed to dominate from the puck drop. They got a lead and didn't really let up. Shymko was soft this game which is unusual... Where as dubyk made some really nice saves.
Axemens forwards are dangerous. Lots of fire power. I'd be nervous if I was canora.

Have heard thompson is done with a pulled groin but not from any reliable sources. He's definitely the difference of those two goals they were short last night. Thompson is there I'd say he pot's 2 goals himself and likely sets up 2. Could be a tough series for roc without him |
