Hey fellas, just my 2 cents on this game, I watched it as an unbiased spectator. I had a good seat to see all of the plays that are in question. Looked to me like Camand Wadena defender were tied up going to the net. Unfortunately for the goalie an errant stick caught him under the helmet. I honestly couldn’t tell which players stick it was it happened really quick. As far as the Leach dirty hit on Cam, from what I saw Leach stepped up on Cam at the blueline. Solid collision and Cam went down afterwards. No bad intention on Leach’s part in my opinion. People have to remember that it’s a contact sport and yes, sometimes people get hurt and it sucks. Doesn’t mean it was a dirty play. I am almost done, for the guys ****ing about all the officiating in every league, at every level in this province. I have heard it all, I have been retired from officiating for 6 years, but still talk to a lot of the guys still doing it. These guys are not doing this for money, yes they get paid but it isn’t enough to put up with all the shit they have to. And if anyone thinks they can go out there and be an official, you absolutely can. No tryouts necessary. You will get games because too many quit reffing from all the bullshit they have to deal with. Why is it when there is criticism of officials, we hear thin skinned responses such as " if anyone thinks they can go out and be an official, you absolutely can" or "too many quit reffing from all the bullshit they have to deal with"? In my experiences, the alleged "bullshit" officials claim they face is exaggerated...I can count the numbers of times on one hand that coaches or players went over the line, the rest of the time it's respectful questions asking for an explanation that some SHA officials believe they are above having to explain themselves. |

Leach is going to get what’s coming for him, he deliberately is out there trying to injure guys. Clean hits are awesome, but that’s two guys in two games, some of the top players no less, that he is out hunting. Karma will come back to get him, and when it does, don’t be wondering “what did I do” Leach had two extremely dirty hits against watrous last game as well. Both penalties. One was 4 min for kneeing. The other lead to Sam Klassen attempting to fight him. If you know klassen it would take something very dirty to get him that mad. . Yes all teams r guilty 4 pushin player s into there goalies sad but true they r the ones hurting there goalies |

I was at the game where he turtled from Forsberg. “Mr. Leach” ran Wynyard’s smallest guy then turtled when J Forsberg challenged him. It was actually embarrassing to watch.

So cause he didn’t fight one guy in the first period after a body check that wasn’t called a penalty just a normal hockey hit. He is a coward, or maybe smart and wanted to stay in the game to help his team win a game.
I was curious about this dirty hit in Watrous from everyone claiming how bad it was. looking at the Livebarn he knocked over what appeared to be Woody Klassen and got a x-check penalty.
Then Sam came in once the refs were all in. Not much of fight situation for anyone at that point. But good try to push your point so far you got one post that he didn’t wanna fight on.
Didn’t see drake game and no livebarn to see the hit in that one but two Drake fans called it a clean hockey play…. So probably have to try find something else to complain about.

Anything you guys over there can think up but you weren’t even at the game to see. It happened in the first period and foam lake didn’t do anything about it for 2 periods while getting blown out so prob wasn’t as bad as you were told |

The watrous stuff is outrageous. Sam klassen went after him and tried to fight him. That should be all the needs to said. Sam is more likely to apologize for bumping into a guy than fighting. Also challenged him later in the game as well. Same game leach got four for kneeing on a very dirty play as well. |

Old man Leach didn’t back down to Carter Lamont when they faced off 20 years ago. Was a great tilt between an old vet and a young rookie. Think it says a lot about Father Leach if he was willing to give young Lamont a chance, especially knowing damn well he is tough as nails. If you think he’s a coward then you must believe everything you read.
