1-0 Broncs after 1. Stroh with the goal. Shots 15-14 Rangers. Rangers 0-3 on the PP, Broncs 0-1. Slow start for both, feeling out process, Broncs goalie, Hodson, some big saves late in the period with a crossbar. A lot of shots from the outside and from distance 1-1. Schwean with the goal.

Broncos in 3 Game 1# 4-2 broncos Game 2# 5-3 rangers Game 3# 3-7 broncos moosomin can pull this series off there going to need come prepared for 60 minutes all 3-4 lines will be crucial, that one line with trotter Holly better be up for test, seems to me they’ll ride that first line all day saying that they have goals on command if not contained balcarres has press with there same style, in your face/pesky hockey, take that first line and grind them down, you hit the body enough eventually the heads going to fall off. If thats established I can’t see the rangers going the distance good call

Just a few observations from a Big Six fan's point of view. After one period, shots on goal were 15-14 for Moosomin. The lone goal by Stroh was weak sneaking through the legs of Ranger Kyle Beckett. Broncos goalie Reece Hodgson played great and benefitted from two cross bars in the last two minutes of the first. Moosomin had three power play chances, the Broncos only 1. Power plays continued for Moosomin in the second at one time becoming a 7-1 advantage. The goal by Jevon Schwean late in the second period was not a power play goal. 1-1 after two with Moosomin taking a penalty in the last minute. Shots were 33-23 after 40. Balcarres came out storming in the third with Berhardt on the power play making it 2-1. Krane for Balcarres made it 3-1 late with Buddy Holloway bringing Moosomin to within one with less than 3 to play. Balcarres stormed back with a late one making it a 4-2 final. Final shots were 48-35 Moosomin. The Broncs have good size and solid players up and down their roster. Great goaltending and strong blue liners. Moosomin zero for eight on the power play with Holloway not getting on the scoresheet until the 57 minute mark. Hodgson outdueled Beckett in this one. Ten bucks at the gate with free programs. The programs didn't have any numbers on them and you can imagine the pain that created. Moosomin had name tags on their jerseys, even for their imports, which was a nice touch. Balcarres did not. Pot of gold $1,530.00 and I estimated the crowd at 650/700. Pot of gold announced with 13 minutes to play which I found rather early, but in fairness the Moosomin workers walk through the crowd and they ask everyone. Conclusion: Without Carter Sawchuk or Devon McGonigal in their lineup, Moosomin relied heavily on Holloway and Trotter, who are both 35/36 years old. Balcarres too strong against basically a one line team. I think Balcarres sweeps in straight games.

I’m Not a moosomin fan but I will say this they played the nite before this game tonite and I’m sure that came into play there 2 top players r not young any more so they will go into balcaress with fresh legs and it might make the difference in winning atleast one game but imo balcaress is the better all around team but only takes a 1 weak goal at the right time To turn a series around anything can happened.
