There is no team in the wheatland that should be entertaining the thought of entering A provincials EVER. Jansen has some ok players, but there are teams paying their additions $1000 a game and rosters with 80% ex jr or better players. It’s stupid and they’re going to get absolutely embarrassed. Take a seat to this moron right here. Who cares if they entered. Obviously they had to go A. Like the one guy said, the rules don’t favour teams like Jansen. We are trying to encourage more teams to enter. Then you get idiots like yourself saying this garbage. good way to not have teams enter again is getting blown out by 10+ goals.

No one forced them to enter provincials, they entered A because they refused to drop guys that most teams in A would not take as actual imports, while there are teams picking up half a dozen guys. Some of these teams are flying guys in from BC and Alberta. They did not have to go in A. They could’ve gone in C or D and begged some old decent locals to come play, even then they probably wouldn’t win a round, let alone a game.

What’s the difference between Jansen going A and porky getting bum f*cked 13-1 by Wilkie in C??? At least in C they’d have a snowball’s chance in hell at drawing an opponent they could compete with, running into Wilkie first round is bad luck. If your team isn’t absolutely running show in the wheatland then that tells you provincials is probably not for your team. There were two LLHL teams that didn’t go in provs last year ffs.

This guy said it right. PP has entered C four years in a row. They have had some upsets in past Loreburn 2020 dinsmore 2023 and have been in the north final both those years. They got Wilkie this year and that’s not a good draw and got their show ran in game 1. But aren’t we trying to get teams to enter provincials. They could have easily had a different draw and won a round or two but who knows cuz that’s not how the draw went. Jansens league team forced them to go A why are we shitting on them for that. Good on them for entering provincials as a first year team back. Who cares if you lose first round and by a large margin happens to lots of teams that enter. Isn’t the goal to have lots of teams enter to have a good provincial run instead of 6/7 teams a bracket or less like B this year

It’s the hockey equivalent of trying to sail across the Atlantic Ocean on a homemade culligan jug raft.

It wasn’t too many years ago that Lanigan sailed into naicam against a very similar roster to wadenas this year and almost squeaked away a series win. If I remember correctly goaltending legend Braxton Stenson put on a clinic in net. Was a sight to be seen. Maybe one day he’ll be back.

Jansen will not be winning, everyone knows that! Haha. It’s a tough draw. I commend them entering. U got teams like Jansen, Perdue, rosthern, shellbrook, bredenbury entering this year which is very good for provincials. It’s a learning curve for teams. It’s no different than Lanigan entering every year and getting smoked. I’d say there teams have been shittier past five years. Only thing they had going for them was shields. Can we please stop attacking teams for entering. We complain no teams enter, now we’re complaining these certain teams enter, what the hell is wrong with you people.

I don’t have to emphasize the skill gap between leagues. Simply put, stay in your lane. Two super league teams folded other teams’ imports in for provincial A last year. Don’t enter A unless your team is prepared to spend $2500 a game on imports.

And that’s exactly the problem with sr hockey. Sweet let’s spend 2500 a game so only 2 locals that are left on the team have a shot at winning. How fun

Even the low end imports they have aren’t going there for free…

If you think Jansen would beat any Pirate team from the past few years you're a moron. Dufault was on all those teams and was non existent. He's the Jets leading scorer. The leagues aren't close and you know nothing about hockey.

If Jansen is paying those guys more than $100 - 150 a game plus sticks as an average I’d be shocked.
