Edam has always been a joke of a team, and a town. The fans, the parents, the players. They are raised with the exact mentality of how they play. Mitch Wall is one of the biggest POS to ever lace them up. He has hurt numerous people over the years with his checking from behind and boarding. Looks like it caught up to him taking another one seconds after his team comes within one, what a leader. I am ashamed I was a sponsor of this team, especially finding out the amount of money they decided to dish out to the Dziurzynski brothers. Martin Smith is a snake also, trying to always poach players off other teams pitching them on their history of winning and culture “it’s an honour to be a 3 star”. Maybe 20 years ago yes but you guys are absolute garbage ever since.

Unfortunately a lot of teams in this league may leave or fold. Macklin, Unity, hafford, and now maybe Edam will pair up with walburg who is joining……maybe. Makes for a pretty bleek outlook

Unfortunately you have to remember to join a league you need to be accepted and voted in and remember the ex SWHL pest Sam Sommerville is the league president of the crossroads i doubt he allows any head aches into a league where they are having fun. Just an fyi for all the teams that think they are just leaving to a different league. not so easy.

Unity is a goalie or a couple decent imports away from being a competitive team. maybe a little better coaching. and like some of the teams in this league get rid of the problem lines or hold them back. Coward comes to mind when I hear teams want to drop imports and go to a competitive rec league.
