You guys that automatically assume the A and B champs are better teams than the C and D champs are just plain fools. They are simply just drawing from larger populations. In theory they should be better, but after watching some games in B,C and D. I can tell you that there’s almost no difference in the calibre of hockey. And A is great hockey, but it usually comes with whoever spends the most. I honestly respect the C and D champions more.

The main reason why teams in LLHL go A is that there league allows up to 9 imports. 4 elite, 3 non elite and 2 naturalized. In order for a team in that league to go B, C or D they would have to cut 4 players, almost a 25% of there roster. So it’s out of necessity that they go A, not because the league is so much better!

After seeing kenaston play they would likely be in the A final. Nobody has the offensive depth in Saskatchewan like the Saskatoon Blizzards do!

The SVHL is a “B” league meaning that they follow the population guidelines of SHA sr B provincials. So you can not ice a league roster that will put you above the population threshold and the current import rules of 3 imports 2 non import (3 consecutive years). The SVHL did adapt to the speculated SHA 5 import rule (remove non import) for this season for league play, but those players would be ineligible for provincials.
