No I wouldn’t say that I’ve seen better teams then that lots of times I guess Carlyle needed a little extra room on that blank check to beat Wadena. Lol Love it. Or spend that money on better imports maybe?

Congrats to Wadena hanging a banner. They epitomize “team”.

Not only even strength goals but a short handed winner in game 1. Solid hardworking team that have been a team all year. Local goalie who’s only played midget hockey with a solid performance last night. Young guys, older guys, teammates and friends. Chemistry wins championships and this team has it.

Carlyle needed to stay out of the penalty box. Wadena scored 7 goals in two games and 5 were power play goals. Even strength Carlyle skated with them. Special teams won it for Wadena. Leach is a solid d man but he wasn’t the best d man in the series let alone the province.

I guess Carlyle should have controlled themselves better and stayed out of the box if that’s what you want to use as your excuse.

As a neutral observer, I’d give the nod to Deck from Carlyle for this series. He’s much more mobile and as well as playing solid in his own end he is able to easily jump into the offense as well. Don’t get me wrong Leach is a solid D man but a lot of people equate size with talent.

In game 2 I thought Cote was still better (Bourhis didn’t play). Going in I was told to watch Deck. He was really good but for the the 2 games I didn’t even think he was the best on his own team.
