I’m really looking forward to this series. This Wadena team must be phenomenal if everyone is saying they take it in 2 in a walk. I thought Grenfell was a great team and they couldn’t beat Carlyle so this Wadena team must be fantastic.

Grenfell played a very good series with a short bench there’s no doubt about that they r a good senior hockey club but injuries cannot b controlled and that’s part of winning these provincials keeping healthy.

Game one Saturday night in Carlyle 8:00 p.m. The rink should be packed and hopefully the predicted bad weather stays away. The Cougars, and the Big Six Hockey League, for that matter, don't have many Provincial titles to brag about. Carlyle won "C" in 1991/92, and finished "C" runners up in 1993/94. They also finished as "C" runners up in 2000/2001. The current executive are doing something really classy this weekend. Players and executive from past provincial and league glory teams have been invited to a "tailgate" party prior to puck drop. A great gesture by the present team. The opportunity to host a provincial final game doesn't come often down here in the southeast. See you at the Carlyle Sports Arena. Should be a dandy!
