What game were you watching? Balcarres barely touched the puck. On Wynyard’s bigger ice it’s going to be worse game was even the whole time, shots were similar and Balcarres was missing a stud My 0.02, Balcarres might have been the least talented 1st place team in recent memory in the Q or HHL. Berny throws the team on his back and somehow they win more times than not. Parody in the QVHHL this year would be unmatched by any other league but there isnt any top end teams in the provincial level like we saw from past Balgonie, Bethune, lumsden and even Grenfell teams. |

Clearly you haven’t watched or know little about the game. Senior hockey is more competitive and better than its ever been province wide. Yes Bernhardt had a great year, but the back end is the heart of that team. Be hard pressed to find a deeper D core in the province. Maybe Lumsden or Kindersley but that’s about it. |

Provincials should be based by league tier(LLHL, SVHL, SWHL, QVHHL) What a tired argument. Wynyard picked up 2 players and a goalie, Balcarres picked up, wait for it, 2 players and a goalie. Wynyard played game 1 with 7 imports, I’m guessing Balcarres had at least that many in their lineup. |

I really hate to see any thread on this forum devolve into a crying session about who picked up the better imports and gee wilickers you have more or better than we do or we would have won. Holy Hell boys these are not Frickin participation trophies. How about we get some loyal fans commenting on why their team is gonna win, lots of great hockey left, lets enjoy and have a little better quality smack talk!  |
