This game could have went either way, I’d say Kindersley and Drake are evenly matched, kindersley still has the goalie advantage as Travis Child is the real deal. He made a lot of hard saves look easy. But Calvin Bartel had the game of his life, and I bet a lot of people weren’t expecting him to play like that last night. The refs made some calls on each team but there was a lot cheap stuff called IMO. Not sure about other notable players missing for kinderlsey but Dustin Stevenson wasn’t there and for Drake, no McDonald’s. Game 2 will be a doozy next Thursday night.

Very evenly matched this was SR hockey at its finest. I’d give a slight edge to the klippers in the first two periods but drake came out in the third and had them on their heels. Multiple chances for both into OT lots of posts and bouncing pucks. Can’t wait for Thursday but I think I’m going to take the klippers on home ice forcing a game 3.

If I saw one more player make an unforced pass into the opposing teams shin pads I was gonna leave. Drake and Kindersley both had like 5 3 on 1’s they decided to pass below the goal line.
I say this from my rec playing couch.
