Kenaston @ Eston tonight. Gotta think a kenaston win locks up first place. Who do you got? 7-3 Kenaston final. Well that settles that, figured Eston might put up a bigger fight than that at home. I guess the big ice must've been welcomed by the blizzards judging by the shots. |

Please explain why the overtime rules is dumb. Different yes but why dumb. The teams would have voted on ?..
Or were you at the league meeting? How did it come about?

I love the ellimination of the 2-line pass. If you take away the composite sticks then you have to dial back the goalie equipment. I am a little old school, but innovations are good - shoot-outs are bad!

I suppose you want a field goal contest to decide NFL games, and a home-run Derby to decide MLB games? I just think team games decided by an individual skills contest are worse than seeing 2 teams battling it out to a tie. Just my opinion.

I could be wrong but I think this is the first time since the SVHL adopted this format. In fact has any game went into the 3 on 3 before???

Loreburn and kenaston turned into a barn burner on Saturday night. Blizz won 8-7 in overtime and loreburn had to call a couple old timers outta retirement.

What a wild game, Blizzards down 7-4 middle of the third and storm back to tie it with two and half left and win it in OT. Got to give Loreburn and their goalie credit. Had a good game plan and Evanoff was often spectacular. Blizzards looked rusty and made some ugly plays the 19ers capitalized on. Kenaston has played a lot games where they dominate and the games over early and it showed. Loreburn jumped ahead early and even when the Blizzards got some momentum they managed to push back while missing key guys. Jesse Forsberg was excellent logging probably 35 minutes on the back end.
Crazy to see three old 19ers from their glory days on the ice. Norrish and Long both scored I believe and Prestley had the stripes on.

The battle for 3rd place is on! Central Butte is on a role winning their last 4 in a row. Looking like it could come down to the wire between Butte, Eston and Outlook.

Makes fot a great final weekend! Might come down to Wednesday in Dinsmore to see how the seedings finish up. |
