2:50 it looks like, an Assistant Captain too kicking/breaking sticks.. what an embarrassment Unless my eyes are deceiving me that was #28 Jon Lawrence, the recipient of the LLHL's most gentlemanly player of the year award, who is seen purposely stomping on and breaking a stick at timestamp 2:45 of the video. Class act.

Weird for a guy with 4 PIMS in his Senior career to pull that move.

You can also see that captain, #17 Cam Blair appears to have wanted very badly to join in on the celebration with the FL boys as he charges his way towards the huddle only to be stymied by the ref. Props to that ref for having the awareness to grab him.

Hard to delineate from the video but it appears he comes from the direction of the stick that was stepped on after first skating towards his goalie with his back turned to the Flyers.

Yes well knowing what I know from watching him, like I previously said, I'm sure he was just trying to get in on the celebration and have some fun with the champs.

Maybe SH can over turn the broken stick that John Lawrence stomped and broke maybe it didn’t happen.

Blair and Jones went at each other all game long, not surprised he was a little pissed off when Jones gave him a shove as he went by Blair for the celebration. Some quick thinking and good positioning by the ref to keep that from escalating. FWIW, Blair damn near singlehandedly dragged Drake back into that game, best player on the ice and it wasn't close. Fun game to watch.
