Credit to Devils going into Redvers and throwing up a touch down . Rockets were sloppy in there own end & Devils made them pay for it . Not the roughest game in the world minus the Martel incident .

Obrien made a bad decision trying to fight Martel. Or maybe it was a good idea to take one for the team cause after that Redvers went flat and Carnduff turned it on.
Matthewson will have to start next game for Redvers. Not saying it was bauche fault they lost but he did let in a couple that should have been saves.

Obrien made a good decision to stick up for his teammate after a dirty CFB that will cost Martel a two game suspension.
Redvers lack of forward depth got exposed and was a quiet night for their big guns on defence. Redvers had 3 weeks off prior to game 1 and I would expect a much better game from them Sunday night.

The point I’m trying to make is that players don’t deserve to be belittled online for losing a fight. Takes some serious balls to stand up for a teammate in a mismatched fight when your teammate is laying unconscious on the ice and you can bet Obrien’s teammates rallied around him between periods for that reason. If no one goes after Martel after a hit like that then he’ll be running around all series. |

I have said here before Redvers weak link is loyalty to there goalies and that carnduff will not be intimidated. Going to be a great series that will go the ull 5 games.

Devils win game 2 , 3-2 in ot. Down 2-1 with 45 seconds left pull goalie to tie game. Ot winner 58 seconds into ot. Good game for both teams, carnduff goalie played well. Fans packed to the rafters good atmosphere. 5050 $2650
