It’s just became 100% clearer to me that the classification of a local player needs some adjustments. It’s one think for Davidson to claim Girvin or Bladworth as locals or Kenaston adding Hawarden , or Lorburn adding in Elbow and Strongfeld All of these towns are close enough I’d say. But know way should Kenaston be able to Add Rosetown guys. Davidson adding Clavet and Allan is a joke as well. This entire local classification has been grossly exploited. It’s technically not cheating, but it should be. And if your a team that’s already deep in players and Talent, then you should be fined massively if found guilty of intentionally cheating.

Stop crying, Sask hockey set the 120km radius rule, the teams are following them. Would you rather see Kenaston or Davidson not have a team? Good on the management of both teams to build a strong team and exciting hockey for the community to watch. But yes, if you’re intentionally cheating there should be consequences

But yes, if you’re intentionally cheating there should be consequences If Kenaston and Davidson are cheating , yes I’d rather see them fold. But we all know they are a long ways away from that. And I’m not accusing either of them are technically cheating. I’m saying the rules are such that some teams are taking advantage of shady rules. So happens the best teams in the league are also the best at using these shady rules.

Using the local radius to the best of your ability is fair play.
Lying about where a player lives is not fair play.

Using your example a local would have to be from within 25km, ya not feasible. Ya it sucks when certain teams have optimal players that fall within 120km but there can’t be rules for different teams. Kenaston and Davidson aren’t cheating, they just have an advantage based on their location. Outlook could have all the same imports as Davidson and Kenaston but they don’t treat players to the same standard. (Local and import) not including money.

The 120km radius is not a sask hockey rule as I see some players in other leagues listed as imports when they live within 120km of the team they are playing with

The 120km radius is not a sask hockey rule as I see some players in other leagues listed as imports when they live within 120km of the team they are playing with Some leagues have their own rules. Sask valley follows the provincial rule of 120km radius set by Sask hockey. Look it up on the Sask hockey website

Well, well, well looks like Kyle had to make a few “corrections” before league play. Interesting

Outlook, Craik and Delisle all won tonight. Delisle gonna be near the top! Smalcel and Scheidl are big additions that round out that lineup. Totally different team with those two pickups! Not that it really matters. The SVHL is a foregone conclusion again with the Kenaston Huskies blowing everyone else out of the water with extra elite talent compared to everyone else. Need a second place championship trophy to make this league exciting again.

That’s false. I guess Eston is tired of losing to Kyle every year.. Fritzke and Jacobson both live in Kyle. It’ll be corrected soon enough.
