Anyone hearing any rumors of signings, pickups etc in the Long Lake? Personally I wonder if wadena will have a team after winning it all last year!

Nukwama is from Outlook, might be a tough to pry him away. Benny is just a body, not an impact player.

Heard from a very reliable source Wynyard isn’t letting Jesse go. As per the new rule that came in for elite imports What's the new rule? I believe it’s a rule that is trying to prevent guys from jumping from team to team… haven’t heard full details but it would prevent an Austin Calladine situation, along the lines of how many teams in the same league in the so many years

basically, imports elite or non elite cannot play for say Foam Lake this last season then say hey... i'm going to Lanigan next year without Foam Lake saying yes thats fine. the purpose of the rule is to keep teams from poaching imports from other teams in the LLHL, Calladine is a perfect example. With this rule in place Foam Lake could have said no, and then Austin would not be able to play with any team in the LLHL for a year. If he leaves and plays in Allan for a year then the following year he can come back to the LLHL with whatever team he makes a deal with.
The other side of this is that a team can say yep thats fine, go ahead and play with another team and its all good. Team just has to notify the league that they are fine with it. I wonder how many teams will actually do this though... potentially might stop other imports from coming to play for them?? i don't know..
Ultimately if there was loyalty amongst imports this wouldn't be an issue... certain guys are just trying to grab as much cash as possible. Someo of the asks from players that i've heard since the season ended are straight up laughable.

This used to be a rule in the HHL. Caused Kups and Maclean to play in another league for a year.

I never hated that rule in the HHL tho, I was always curious why it wasn’t in the LLHL Its a good rule, there are certain organizations that would absolutely poach players from within the league. and just look at last year with Calladine going back to Lanigan as well.
